Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Events Logistics Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, capable of designing and executing high-profile events for major government, foundation, and non-profit partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Identification and Coordination:
    • Identify opportunities for events in close collaboration with Office leadership and relevant stakeholders.
    • Propose specific themes, sessions, and agendas to R/PPR staff and partners for events.
  • Partnerships and Initiatives:
    • Identify and propose new partnerships and initiatives with external actors to enhance the skills and networks of PD practitioners.
  • Evaluation and Analysis:
    • Develop, distribute, and analyze evaluations of convenings to assess effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Design and Branding:
    • Provide expert input on event design and branding, including visual designs, invitation language, and other event communications.
  • Virtual/Hybrid Event Platforms:
    • Offer expert advice on platforms for virtual or hybrid events, ensuring seamless execution and high engagement.
  • Logistics and Budgeting:
    • Assist in planning logistics, budgeting, and scheduling for events to ensure smooth operations and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Contractual Documents:
    • Help draft contractual documents such as Statements of Work (SOWs) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) for procuring event services.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or graduate-level education in a social science discipline or related field (e.g., communications, organizational leadership, psychology, etc.)
  • Clearance: Minimum of a Secret Clearance
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing high-profile events and convenings for major government, foundation, and/or non-profit partners.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in digital convening and event platforms.
    • Expertise in event logistics and budgeting.
    • Familiarity with federal contracting processes.
    • High level of proficiency in written and oral communications.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
