These positions (2) will provide an Exercise Assessments Analyst/Planner as part of the lessons learned cell to conduct assessments of USCENTCOM Joint / Combined exercises conducted throughout the area of responsibility to determine effectiveness and impact towards the achievement of theater campaign and exercise objectives. - 1 Position will be at HQ U.S. Marine Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) J5 Exercises, MacDill AFB, FL. - 1 Position will be at HQ U.S. Special Operations Command, Central Command (SOCCENT) J37 Exercises, MacDill AFB, FL.
Job Summary & Duties
Supports the execution of the USCENTCOM Exercise Assessments process as the Service Component Assessment Analyst.
Provides Subject Matter Expertise in the use of Exercise and Training Outcomes to determine effectiveness in aligning to Essential Elements of the Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC) 3.0
Collaborates with Exercise Planners, Lessons Learned Team, and external stakeholders to collect and analyze Exercise data which can be used to provide assessments using the Joint Training Exercise & Evaluation Program (JTEEP) Assessment Guidance.
Assists in aligning USCENTCOM and Subordinate Exercises with the Goals, Objectives, and Measures within the JTEEP Assessment Framework.
Coordinates with Assessments personnel from the other USCENTCOM Components, other Combatant Commands, Services, OSW, Joint Staff and external agencies to implement best practices in Exercise Assessment.
Utilizes Command & Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) and other enterprise tools as required to update USCENTCOM Strategic Alignment of events using the JTEEP Strategic Alignment Matrix (SAM).
Assists as the Lead Service Component Contract Support for USCENTCOM Strategic Qualitative Assessments (SQA) at the conclusion of Exercises and Training Events.
Assists as the Lead Service Component Contract Support in compiling and submitting the USCENTCOM Exercise Program annual Overarching Assessment to OASW(SR).
Assists in the production of briefings, memorandums, messages, information papers, position papers, talking points, and other supporting documents as required.
Required Skills
Demonstrated experience in joint training and exercises, particularly in exercise assessment, analysis, and lessons learned.
10 years’ experience in military operations, training, and planning
3 years’ experience in a Joint or Combined Command Headquarters staff environment (i.e. Combatant Command, Component Command, Joint Task Force, CFMCC, CFLCC, CFACC)
