Kwaan Bear Technology (KBT) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and evolve our people operations. This strategic role will be instrumental in shaping a positive, high-performing workplace culture aligned with KBT’s mission. The HR Manager will oversee all facets of the HR function—including employee relations, training and development, compliance, performance management, benefits, and employee engagement—while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Training and Development
Design and manage training programs that support skill development and career progression.
Identify growth opportunities for employees to promote internal mobility and retention.
Employee Relations
Serve as a key point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, and grievance resolution.
Implement programs to promote collaboration, respect, and workplace satisfaction.
Performance Management
Develop and maintain systems for evaluating employee performance and aligning it with company objectives.
Provide coaching to managers on effective performance feedback.
Compliance
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Regularly review and update HR policies and practices to reflect legal changes.
Employee Engagement
Lead engagement initiatives that drive employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.
Collaborate with senior leadership to foster an inclusive and supportive culture.
Employee Surveys
Create and administer satisfaction and engagement surveys.
Analyze results and deliver actionable insights to drive improvements.
HR Best Practices
Establish, document, and enforce HR best practices that align with company goals.
Benchmark policies and programs to maintain competitive and compliant HR operations.
Work Environment
Champion a healthy, safe, and inclusive workplace environment.
Identify and address organizational climate issues proactively.
Disciplinary and Corrective Actions
Provide guidance on disciplinary actions in alignment with legal standards and internal policies.
Support managers in conducting fair and documented corrective action processes.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in the DoD sector.
Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) are a strong asset.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership presence with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of HR laws, practices, and emerging trends.
Demonstrated success in developing HR programs that enhance employee engagement.
Proven ability to resolve conflicts, drive results, and implement strategic initiatives.
Proficient in HRMS/HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making tools.
