Job Title: Safety Program Lead

Job Duties:
- Lead and manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs across multiple projects to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide expert guidance on safety protocols, risk assessments, and hazard control measures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and contractors, ensuring that all personnel are fully aware of safety procedures and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Review and approve safety plans, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Prepare and present high-level safety briefings and reports to senior leadership, highlighting key safety metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Lead safety committees and serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters within the organization.
Certifications, Licenses, Physical Requirements, or Other Expertise Required:
- A minimum of five years of specialized experience in safety program management, preferably in the construction, engineering, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and managing safety programs for large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise safety briefings to senior leadership.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior safety professionals.
General Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
- Five or more years of experience leading safety programs in a complex project environment, with demonstrated expertise in safety plan development and implementation.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Local safety codes and regulations.
- Ability to utilize safety management software and tools for tracking and reporting safety metrics.
- Experience in conducting safety training sessions and workshops for diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple safety initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to prepare and provide high-level safety briefs to senior leadership. Oral and written communication skills must be highly developed.
